Forbes Nonprofit Council is an invitation-only membership community for senior-level executives at successful nonprofit organizations.
Forbes Nonprofit Council is a fee-based membership organization with approximately 100 to 2,500 members. Its members and headquarters are distributed throughout the world, as it is a fully remote organization.
Forbes Nonprofit Council is part of a broader collective of membership organizations called Forbes Councils.
Forbes Nonprofit Council offers publishing privileges to its members. These privileges include featured mentions in nonprofit-related articles, as well as full bylined articles written by its members in their area of nonprofit founding and managing expertise.
This organization offers networking opportunities via regular virtual events, and private community groups accessible through its member portal website and mobile app.
In order to be eligible for Forbes Nonprofit Council, you must be a founder or senior-level executive at a successful nonprofit organization. Additionally, your organization must be a certified 501(c) with at least $500,000 in annual donor contributions and/or annual revenue at the time of application. Your nonprofit may not be a political-based organization, lobbyist firm, or supportive of narcotics-related causes.
In order to be considered for Forbes Nonprofit Council, qualified candidates must either apply for consideration, or be referred by existing members. Meeting the minimum requirements alone does not guarantee an invitation to join the organization. Qualified applicants will be screened by a selection committee. If approved, applicants will receive an invitation to join Forbes Nonprofit Council.
An annual fee in the range of $2,500 to $5,000 will be due at the time of joining the organization.
The council's members work at an array of distinguished organizations, most notably: The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, PetSmart Charities, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Goodwill, and Salesforce.org.
