About Academy of Human Resource Development

The Academy of Human Resource Development is a global membership community for executives and professionals in the HR industry. AHRD was created as a space for the Human Resource Development (HRD) scholarly community of academics and reflective practitioners, and researchers.

The Academy of Human Resource Development is a fee-based membership organization headquartered in St. Paul with over 500 members dispersed around 39 countries.

The Academy of Human Resource Development offers members a host of benefits. These privileges include the opportunity for professional publishing, access to The HRD Masterclass, and peer-reviewed world-class journals. 

This organization offers networking opportunities via local and national conferences, Forum Discussion Groups, and Learning and Development Leaders Circle for practitioners in the field.

Several membership categories are available based on which level best fits your needs. An annual fee in the range of $100 to $1,000 will be due at the time of joining the organization and every year thereafter for continued access to the organization.
